Bad waiting room memories

I have decided, I am going to make more of an effort to write more on my blog....starting today.
So, today Rob had his endoscopy appointment, it was at the hospital, and on the same floor as the ICU.
We arrived and had to check in. Where we had to check in was right around the corner from the ICU waiting room. So, we checked in and sat in the main waiting room for a few minutes, until they called Rob into the back, where he would get changed and ready for the endoscopy. So they allowed me to go back there with him until he was going under.

Well, to get to the back, we walked through the ICU waiting room, I walked quickly and tried not to make it personal, that I had bad memories in that room. We got to the back, where Rob had to change and put a gown on and get his blood pressure checked and the IV for the anaesthesia. So, once that was done, and it was time for Rob to go get the anaesthesia then get the endoscopy done. The nurse walked me out and showed me where I had to sit until he was done.
She walked me right out and down the hallway that leads to the ICU. I was hesitant to walk down that hallway, because I knew where it led. I obviously did walk down that hallway, and then she led me through the door to the dreaded ICU waiting room. Told me that this is where I was to wait until they came to get me when Rob was in recovery. So I had to sit in this room for 45 minutes.
As I walked in slowly, I looked around, everything was the same, all the furniture, the fish tank, the TV, everything, not only the same, but in the same place. I saw one man sitting in there on one of the couches, so I walked to the next one and sat on the edge, I sat there frozen. I could not move, all I could do was turn my head and move my eyes and look around for the next 10 minutes. Then it happened. I started crying, if felt like I could not control the tears, they just kept falling. Rolling down my face and onto my shirt, making tear marks on my shirt. I turned my back to that man that was sitting nearby. I kept crying as I looked out the window and saw the rain on the window, mimicking my tears. I text my sister and thought I would feel better if I just wrote something to her about my feelings at the time, hoping it would help me to stop crying. I knew she would not be awake yet, so instead of calling, I sent the text. It did help, as soon as I sent the text, the sun peeked through the clouds and was shining so bright. I felt like that was my Dad telling me to stop crying.

Then I sat there with a little smirk on my face, thinking that at that moment, my Daddy was watching over me.  Helping me to get through this difficult time of sitting there by myself in a room full of horrible memories.  I made it through my wait in the waiting room and the nurse called me into the recovery area where Rob was still doped up.  He was sleeping when I first got in there, then woke up immediately when I sat down.  He was hilarious, talking like he just downed a 6 pack.  That helped me forget all about my crying just moments before.  He was saying some crazy stuff!

Thank you all for reading, I hope to provide you with more stories and pictures as time goes on.

Superbowl Sunday, not so great for me....

Go Saints, I am glad they did it for the city! Otherwise, my superbowl Sunday SUCKED!!! To say the least, first I woke up in the morning with a horrible headache, and sinus pressure, so I took some Advil cold and sinus for it, and it went away for the most part. So I got in the shower to get ready for work, and of course, just my luck, there was no soap left. But of course I didn’t realize that until I had shampoo in my hair, and so instead of calling for Rob to come upstairs and get me some soap out of the linen closet, I decided just to jump out and go get it myself. BAD IDEA, because as I was taking a step out of the bathtub, my other foot slipped, and down I went, hitting my head, my arm, and my back on the side of the tub. Now, not only do I have a headache, but also am hurting from the fall. The worst is my back, I have what feels like a HUGE bruise on my back, however, what you see, is only a small bruise about the size of a quarter. So, the worst part is yet to come, stay tuned!!! On my way to work, I decided that I was hungry for an apple, and I also wanted to get some caramel dip that I had the day before at a scrapbooking event that I attended. So, on my way to work, I stopped at Dominick’s in Bannockburn and I ran in and got some apples, and some caramel dip to eat them with. Trust me, it’s yummy stuff, but DEFINITELY not worth what happened next. As I was leaving the parking lot, (I was almost out of the parking lot) all of a sudden, someone was backing up and kept going, and thought she didn’t see me, so I hurriedly stopped, and tried to quickly put my car in reverse, and back up before she would hit me, without luck, she just kept backing up, even after I honked, and then BAM! She backed right into me, smash! Dumb bitch! I got out secretly hoping that there was no damage to my car, maybe a scratch that she would have to pay for, but no, instead, my bumper was pushed in, and my front fender dented, and my headlight is not in correctly anymore either. She got out of the car and said oh, I am so sorry, it’s obviously my fault, you were in my blind spot, and I didn’t see you. As I am swearing to myself, thinking I REALLY cannot believe she kept backing up and hit my car, my still to me, BRAND NEW 2008 Infiniti G35. So, she said oh, let me just give you my business card, and be on our way, and you can contact me with how much the damage is. WHAT?!?!? Do you think I am stupid?? Nope, I surely am not, sorry, lady, but I work for the police department, do you know how many times we get people calling us or showing up to speak with an officer, because someone hit them and now they refuse to pay, or they never answer the phone when they call?? At that time, there is not much that we can do. So, I told her that I am calling the police, and they can write a report for us, and then we can do this through the proper channels. She said well I am not going to argue with you. I said you are right, because here is the officer, and that was the last thing she said to me. After the officer arrived, he wrote the report for us, and then as he was explaining that it was her fault, and that he would not be writing any tickets to her, because it occurred on private property (a parking lot). She came back with well how is it MY fault, it was only a matter of me looking this way and that way, then she appeared. Little does she know that she was backing into the lane that I had possession of at that time, and I stopped, to try to put my car into reverse really fast, and also honked at her, and she kept coming. DUH!!! Ooooh, I am soooooo mad at this woman!!! So, now it is a matter of she said, she said…..I called her insurance company today, and they took all the info, and will have one of their appraisers come to my house to take an estimate, and then I can take the car to get fixed wherever I want, and they will give me a rental for the time it is being fixed. However, I just have to wait for them to call her and make sure that our stories match. Seriously?? Live, Laugh, Love

A couple pics for you to admire! he he!

Ok, or long time no post. Sorry everyone, I have been slacking a little on my posts for my blog...ok so not a little, a LOT!!!!
Just wanted to keep you updated that I will probably be posting some more blogs soon, as I am taking a photography class at CLC, and I have a new camera, that is to say the least, AWESOME!!!! So I will hopefully be posting some posts with lots of cool pictures that I take for my class. I am doing this for fun, but I am also curious to see what my teacher has to say as to if I have an "eye" for it or not...I really hope I do, because it so far is really interesting and I can't wait to see what kind of pictures I can take.
Here are just some snapshots that I did, just playing around with my camera so far....there is so much to learn about how to use my camera, so we will see....I promise, when I get more into it, there will be some really cool pictures!

OOOOOOPPPPPPSSSSS!!!!!!!

This is what it looks like when you forget your boots at home....
So, last night as I was working, I noticed that my boots were getting to be very not shiny, so I decided to be a good employee and bring my boots home for a good shining! I told myself, now you MUST remember to bring these boots back to work with you, I even put them in sight, so I would remember them. Did I? Nope. A half hour before I had to leave for work, Rob and I decided to drive seperately to go get some lunch, before I had to go to work. So, we hurried out the door to eat so I would make it to work on time. And guess where my nice and shiny boots sat? Yup, right in sight, where I left them the night before after my wonderful husband shined them up for me. I surely did not notice that I forgot my boots at home until I was at work, in the locker room, all changed into my uniform, about to put my boots on, and *GASP* the shelf where my boots usually sit is empty! OMG! Can you freaking believe I did that? I can...sheesh! So, my new shoes that I wore to work are VERY white (because they are new) and pink. I was soooooo panicking, I must have stood there with my mouth wide open (thinking I cannot believe I forgot them!) for about 5 minutes straight. I scurried around the locker room to see if anyone was in the locker room, that I might be able to borrow their boots for the shift. I found Christina's locker open, (SCORE!) I thought, but no, she has some tiny feet, and only wears a size 6 1/2 boot, and mine is 7 1/2. (Thanks anyway, Christina, I know you wouldn't have minded!) So, then crap, what am I going to do? I called Cheryl, to tell her what I did, and to freak out on the phone, OMG OMG OMG, I cannot believe that I actually forgot my boots, I was thinking I just need something black on my feet under the desk, so Cheryl (the AWESOME person that she is) offered to let me borrow her boots, even though they are way too big for me, I was like I don't care, I just need something black on my feet, so I don't get busted! She came and brought me her boots, and also brought me some black socks to wear, so that I could have something black on my feet, incase I didn't want to wear the boots.....Cheryl, you are a lifesaver!!!! So, please enjoy the picture of the new uniform I just made, and I am going to submit to our boss, (I think he might go for it!)

Rob's Grandma

As some of you may know, Rob’s grandma has not been doing well lately. She was not even expected to make it this long, but yet, seems to amaze us all, until now. When it was April/May, she was starting to deteriorate, and we were just hoping and praying that she would be able to make it to our wedding, and for those of you that were at our wedding know that she was there, and doing okay. But it has just been a waiting game, as she has progressively gotten worse since then. Last night Rob got a call from his mom who said that Grandma is not doing well, and now she is at home, but on Hospice. We all know what happens when someone is in the care of hospice. So we decided that we should go to see her today, because there might not be many more days. We got up and drove there, only to find out that they have had her on morphine, and she is not responding anymore to squeezing her hands or talking to her or anything, she is just lying there like she is sleeping, but in reality, she is in a coma like state, they say she will never wake up again. She sounds like she is breathing liquid, instead of air. It is hard to see, especially since that is kind of how I saw my Dad before he passed. It was very hard to see her that way, I just hope and pray that she knew that we were there today to see her. It is not very often that you can get Rob to go many places and visit people that are sick or anything like that, he usually just keeps saying that he can’t take it seeing someone in pain, or dying or anything. I don’t know what will happen if we ever have kids, and I am in labor! He will be the dad that sits outside or passes out… Anyway, please keep Rob and his family in your thoughts and prayers, as this is a hard time for them, and really for all of us. I pray that she goes peacefully without pain. At least she is at home where she wants to be. She is one of the sweetest and most caring people I have ever met. Live well, Laugh often and Love much

fish belong in water

This is what I came home to at 3:40am on Monday morning. It’s also kind of weird, because I don’t usually turn on all the lights when I come home, and that morning, I did. So, you might ask, is that a fish? The answer is yes. And you might also ask, is that a fish on the floor? And that answer is also yes. I was so weirded (if that’s even a word) out, because I also looked at the fish tank and at that moment, I didn’t see any fish in there, because they were all hiding and sleeping. So once I looked a little closer and saw the fish all hiding in the back behind the plant. So then, here is my thought process after I found the rest of the fish inside the tank, safe and sound. I was thinking ok, there is no way Jewel could get to the tank, and not only that, she is a dog and not a cat. So then, I thought well, maybe the fish died in the tank and Rob took it out and threw it in the toilet and Jewel got it out. But I thought that was really pushing it, since Jewel isn’t the type of dog that drinks out of the toilet or anything either. So then I thought that it must have died in the tank, and Rob took it out and put it in the garbage can, and maybe Jewel took it out then. The reason that came across in my thinking process is because Jewel is not shy of taking things out of the garbage if she smells something good in there. So then I was like ok that’s one possibility….then I was like I just have to wake up Rob and find out what the heck happened here, why is there a dead fish in the middle of the living room floor, I mean I know that it’s really late/really early however you want to look at it, and I know that I am probably really tired right now, but I do know that fish belong in water, not on the floor. So I woke Rob up and asked him “what’s going on with the black fish in the middle of the floor?” I know I woke him up from a good sleep, he kind of just looked at me at first, like what are you talking about. So after I asked him about 3 times, he said “is it the Dalmatian looking fish?” I said “no, just the all black one. It is lying on the living room floor, dead. What happened?” He said “I don’t know, it must have jumped out of the tank and flopped around till it died.” I was like seriously?? “But there is a cover on the tank, how does that happen?” He said “through the holes in the back by the filter.” Since it was almost 4 o’clock in the morning, I was just leaving it at that. I picked up the fish and put him in the garbage can, and he promised he would take the garbage out today. So, all in all, apparently our fish committed suicide…..life must really be bad in the tank….he said F this, I am outta here! Live laugh love

Fishing on Weds, 09/09/09

The reason I took this picture, is because I thought the sky looked cool, I promise, the clouds were not really that dark....here it looks even cooler, with the darker clouds....I am telling you I can do it all by myself, I am a BIG girl now!!! (come on, you damn fish, let me have my hook back)
Whew! Finally got the fish off the hook, and now I can show you!! It was the bass of the day, because Rob never even caught a bass that day, that was the first day I have gone with him, and he didn't catch a bass, he did catch a northern though, but it wasn't big enough to really take a picture of. I also caught a rock bass that day, that thing was weird to catch, it didnt fight like a bass, nor did it look like a bass, I thought I caught a blue gil or something. Rob was like do you kwow what that is, I was like um, a fish, but dont ask me what kind, I couldn't tell ya! That's when he said it was a rock bass, and it was interesting, he hasn't seen one of those in Bangs lake for a long time.....yup, that means leave it to me, if it's there, I will catch it! So my catches for the day were 2 nice size bass, and a rock bass. Rob only caught one Northern. But I still had fun fishing with my husband!
This is my being bored again, I was taking a break from fishing, so that Rob could catch a bass, though it still didn't happen, it's ok. This is what I call the pity party, cause there have been more than one time when he stopped fishing, and even gave me the front of the boat to use the trolly motor, so I could go whereever I wanted to catch fish....this usually happens when he has smoked me for the day. And I just want to catch ONE more fish!!!! I told Rob that he had to say what I always say when it has been a while since we caught a fish, it goes like this: "Here fishy fishy fishy" in a high voice, I was like that is what you have to say if you want to catch one, come on, say it.....he just kinda looked at me with a smirk, apparently he thought I was funny, or cute, but I was serious....then he told me that him and his friend Sam made up a song to catch carp, it is something with a lot of "cooo's" in it......weird! I was cracking up when he sung it for me! It was pretty funny.
I also thought the sky was cool. So now here I am, that wasted another hour for me, so now it is 2:03am, and that means that I get to go home in one hour!! Woo Hoo!!! I will just keep writing to waste some more time, hope you have nothing to do but read this cool blog of mine!!
I must just write and tell you all how proud of my sister I am, she was asking me what it's like to be a dispatcher, and of course, she hears some of my crazy stories, like the one I will tell you in a little bit, but she seemed pretty interested, so when I see postings come up for other towns, I send them to her, the first few, she ignored, but this last one, she got serious, she updated her resume, and sent it to them!!!!!! I am so proud of her, it is the first step to A) making more money, B)working CRAZY hours, C) becomming crazy! Yay!!! Props to my little sister!!!!! I am sooooo proud of you!!!
Ok, now on to my crazy story, this is an actual call I got tonight, I really thought it was a prank, but seriously, the girl was really not pranking me, she was serious! Here's how it goes:
RING RING
ME: "[Insert what I say when I answer the phone, but not putting it in here, so it doesn't attract attention....]"
HER: "Hi, um I was just wondering, who do I call, I think there is a tick in my room, AND I'M NOT TOUCHING IT, who would I call for that?"
ME: "A TICK?!?!????"
HER: "Yeah"
ME: "Um, you wouldn't call the police, we don't handle insects."
HER: "Ohhhhh.....Ok, thank you."
CLICK
No joke that was a real call.....so then I sent the Commander a message, and I said,
"This lady on the phone wants to know who she calls for a tick in her room.....?? I told her I would send the Commander...ok?"
he said "yeah, no" then he said "kleenex"
Seriously, people think we make these things up, man, I am telling you, I couldn't make that up if I tried! Hope you enjoyed the good laugh!
Ok, done, 2:16am, only 45 minutes left! yay!

Fishing last weds, 09/02/09

Here are some pics from our fishing last wednesday....it was a foggy morning, as you can see, but it cleared up pretty quickly, and then was pretty warm and sunny. Here we are first thing driving in the boat to our first "spot" to start fishing.
Me, taking the fish off of the hook, which seems to be what some people don't believe that I do it myself!
Rob and his bass
This is what happens when you et bored of fishing.....I just wanted to take pictures, and you can only take so many pictures of the lake and surroundings....so this is what you get, he he!
And for those of you who are wondering, yes, I do wear that pink Bass Pro Shops shirt every week, why get the rest of my shirts all weeded up, there are green stains on that shirt already from the slimy weeds you get sometimes that are annoying, so I put them on my shirt, what the heck, it's not like I am wearing that shirt for a fashion statement or anything....he he!
Looks like I might be doing 2 posts tonight, I am at work for my day #2 of 12 hour shifts, I only have 2 hours left, woo hoo!!!! But still have 2 more days of 12 hours after today....it gets old quick, but hey, seems to be good $ with OT!
So that's that, I will post the next one in a few minutes, not like any of you care, you are all at home tucked snuggly in your comfy beds, snoring away (I know, I can hear you from here!) considering it is 1:16am, and I am here till 3 tonight, or should I say this morning?!?! Live Laugh Love

"Are you feeling okay?"

I woke up today to my husband asking me if we had pancake mix. When I told him yes in the cabinet, he was quiet, then he asked do we have syrup? I answered I think so, so I checked the fridge, yup there was syrup too. I pulled out the box of pancake mix, and put it on the counter. He looked and was confused about why it needed oil to make, so I pulled out the oil out of the cabinet for him too. I said I am going to take a shower, when I came out of the shower, he had pancakes made for me and pancakes and eggs made for him. They were yummy too! I wanted to ask him, “Are you feeling okay?” After the comment he made to some of our friends that “I don’t know how to cook, so I like Jen to do the cooking”…I guess we found out that if you can read directions, then you can cook!!!! Oh, and I should mention that lately, he has been making more than just bowls of cereal for himself, he is finally realizing that there are things in the cabinet that are not hard to make for yourself, or for us. It doesn’t have to be a gourmet meal every time! My hubby is learning! Live, laugh and Love!

4 down, 8 to go!

BLAH! Today I am at work working 12 hours. The time today seems to be crawling by….so I have been here for 4 hours and have 8 more to go…..woo hoo…not! Last night, I realized that I had a funny story to tell, from last Sunday morning, so I thought I would share it with you. Now it could be that “you had to be there” kind of thing, but we were cracking up, and me a bit embarrassed…. My mom was in town and we decided to go have breakfast at Cracker Barrel on Sunday morning before she left on Tuesday. We (mom, me, Kim, Adam and Grandma) met there at 10am and were sat at a 6 person table for 5 of us. So after some musical chairs, we were situated, and started to look at the menu. See picture I drew up....
Our server comes over, a nice 40 something woman, and takes our drink order. Everyone orders what they want, and she returns with our drinks. Well, it was a bit humid that day, and I ordered a sweet tea, and of course my glass was sweating. I put a bit more sugar in the tea, because it wasn’t so sweet that day. So then our server came back, to take our food orders, and I decided that my tea was in the way, so I went to pick it up and move it from my left side to my right side by the wall, well, this is as our server was taking Grandma’s order. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, there was a loud crash, and you hear a glass hit the table and ice flying and something that sounded like liquid running. Yup, that was me…..absolutely me, the 30 year old adult that just spilled her drink all over the table. How embarrassing. Well, needless to say, everyone stopped to STARE at me, my face turned beat red (a shade that looked like THIS) I just started cleaning up my mess with my napkin, then napkins just started flying at me, as I looked over at our server she just shook her head, then went to the back, and when she arrived back again, she had towels in her hand, and her tray. As she was cleaning off the table that I had just spilled tea and ice all over, she was yelling at me, like I was her child, but we were all CRACKING up, she was hilarious! It went something like this: “Oh my God, can’t take you anywhere, you are just like a little kid, and how old are you? Spilling your drink all over the place like you are 2 years old, I can’t believe this, and now I have to clean it up for you! There now, don’t spill anymore, what? You want more to drink? Can you handle it without spilling? I doubt it!” We were laughing so hard, and here I am so damn embarrassed still…...she leaves and returns with a little kids sippy cup thing, it is like ¼ of the size of the regular glass, it’s plastic and has a top on it, and a place for your straw. Now we were really cracking up! When she comes back she says “Here, now don’t spill this time! Can you handle not spilling with this cup?” Now, let me tell you that she was not quiet at all what-so-ever whenever she was talking to me, it was like a mother scolding me, as my mom sat next to me laughing the whole time.
So we go on about our ordering process and then our meal comes, and we are eating, every time she comes back to our table, to check on us, she asks if I have spilled my drink yet, then as we are almost done with our meal, she brings me an adult cup, and makes me promise not to spill this time.
We finish our meal and are sitting there talking when she came back to the table, to make sure all is ok, and my grandma told her that she must like her job, because she had us laughing the whole time. She said yes, I do love my job, and I also work at Ruby Tuesdays doing the same thing, I popped up and said I used to work there years ago, she said oh, how come you left, I said “I got a real job” and before I could realize what I said was not cool, her mouth was opened and she was like “ugh”. I was so stupid and embarrassed again, once I realized what I said…..I tried to back track and “what I meant to say was that I got a real job (said it once again) you know, like an office job, where you sit at a desk and stuff?” OPEN MOUTH INSERT FOOT HERE she was laughing and said after all the things that I did for you today, this is how you treat me? Now, mind you, she still was not quiet with anything she said, and everyone around us was laughing at us and at her. She told me that she is going to keep an eye out for me and will be sure to tell her colleagues about me when I come to either restaurant that she works at. Hilarious! Ok, now that I have written all that for you, now I only have 6 ½ hours left…..so now, 5 ½ down, 6 ½ to go.

08/19/09 Bangs lake

Here it is, my "big" fish...
And a close up of it...though Rob chopped off my head in both!
On our fishing day on wednesday, we went to Bangs, our normal place, and this time, I got my way, and I met Rob there at 8am, instead of waking up at 5am...yipee! He was not so happy that I came late, but I think he was happy that I would at least go at all. So I met him there at 8, and I was a much happier person! When I got there, I told him I don't want none of those "fishing" stories, and he told me that he never lies about how many or how big of fish he catches. So he told me that from 5-8, he caught 3 bass and 1 northern...then when I got there, apparently the fish turned off. We did not catch anymore until later on, about 11 or 1130 when we went on the other side of the lake. Then he caught 3 more, and I was so damn frustrated, that I was ready to go home. Then all of a sudden, BAM! there was a fish! woo hoo! Then another and Rob says that was the biggest one of the day, so please enjoy the pics of it.

Our day on Countryside Lake

Here is Rob fishing
One of Rob's many bass that day.
One of my 4 small bass
Here is a really cool house that is on an island, and must drive on a bridge to get to......and below is the bridge you have to drive on to get to the house. This house has a boat garage under it, so cool, just pull in the garage door and put your boat in, and close the garage door, it is under the house, where you see the small round windows. It was built on the rocks there....it is so cool!
Here are just some pics from last wednesday when we fished Countryside lake, now that we have an "in", because it is a private lake that Rob heard had HUGE bass in it, though it didn't prove to us on wednesday, but there was something that bit off a couple worms and hit Rob's line pretty hard....it is funny when that happens, because it makes you wonder what is lurking under the water that you can't see....I always tell him it is a shark, but of course we all know that isn't true! Anyway, we had a great time, and we used a friends boat, it was super fun, and let me just tell you that I am amazed at the BEAUTIFUL houses that are on that lake, and it's private! SO JEALOUS!!!!!

Bangin’ on Bangs Lake

I won the prize for catching the biggest weed clump! I am good at that!
My other Bass and my hair EVERYWHERE!!!!!! It was pretty humid that day, that's my excuse for the crazy hair.
My Bass
All of the pics above are from last week, Rob and his big crappie.
Below is my story from this week...
We went out on the boat fishing on Wednesday, as usual at about 5am. When we went out on the lake it was still dark and there was a pontoon boat anchored, and we paid no attention, since there were other fishing boats on the lake too. So we went on our way to the spot where we were going to fish, and after a while it started to get light out, and we noticed that the people on the boat had put up a red sheet or blanket kind of thing. When I saw that, I thought maybe the people needed help, and Rob thought nothing of it, so we kept on fishing, and we saw nothing for about 2 hours, then all of a sudden, there was a guy on the boat who took the sheet down, and the girl was just putting her shirt back on. Then they were like cleaning up the boat a little, and folding all the blankets they had, and we thought they were leaving, because they went towards the launch, and much to our surprise, there was a second guy on the boat! OMG! There were 2 guys and a girl on the boat….interesting…..they had dropped off one guy and a little while later, that same boat went flying across the lake with only a guy and a girl and Rob said oh those are the people that make the wake all the time before 10am, and I said yeah, and those are the fuckers! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!! We were cracking up. Attached are some pics from last weeks fishing trip, I don’t have any to post right now from this week, I will post them soon, I have some pretty pics of the sunrise. Oh, and the most important part of our fishing day was that I caught more fish than Rob! Yay! However, I must admit now that Rob did have the “catch of the day” he caught about a 5 pounder. It was HUGE!!! I caught 5 bass, and 1 northern, and Rob only caught his 1 big bass, and 1 northern. He took me to one area, and I was “slammin’” them, as he would say, I caught 2 in a row, it was great, especially to see his face, and the look of amazement! Then we moved a little and bam another one right away! Woo hoo!!! I won for the number of fish, and I had great pride, especially since he usually smokes me in the number of fish, and I always get jealous!

CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH

That is the sound I hear at this point in the day….it is after 3, so most of you know what that means, it means that I am listening to my co-worker chew….this is the not so bad part, I mean it’s loud, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not as bad as when this person is eating something else, like fruit for instance. Anyway, Rob and I tried some new kind of food today for lunch. We went to a place called Tajine Casablanca. It is in Vernon Hills, it is some type of Mediterranean food. I was up for the challenge, since I like to try new things, so we went there, it was a really cool atmosphere, the walls were painted like reddish and goldish colors, and we sat at a little table, that had those chairs that sit low to the ground, on nice cushiony seats with pillows for the backs. Very interesting, and so was the food. Rob ordered for me, because he thought he would know what I would like. So we got the same thing, don’t ask me what it was, I mean, I think it was like chicken something and beef something…it was ok, but I surely wouldn’t go back and get the same thing for the $30 that we paid. I only liked part of it, not all of it, there was something cooked with curry, and that really was not something I liked, Rob said it was chicken, didn’t look or taste like chicken. There was also what I thought might be chunks of beef, and I ate one, and almost couldn’t swallow it, I just didn’t like the taste….oh well. Tomorrow, Rob wants to try the Indian joint down a few stores from that. I am a little hesitant, considering the Mediterranean food is not sitting too well with me now. But we will see, I will write and let you know how that goes if we do decide to eat there. So, anyway, we never ended up eating at the Indian place, but we did end up going fishing on Wednesday morning….didn’t catch too many fish, but we had a good time, and Rob was in a good mood, so that helped, cause then he doesn’t get so mad if I get a line twist or backlash, or whatever they are called…..he he! He keeps changing his story whether I am a good or bad “fisherwoman”, depending on his mood, and how good or bad I do in his mind. I am hoping to be the “expert angler” soon. We will see what he thinks! Anyway, then we went over to our friends house, and at a yummy dinner, and played wii bowling and got our butts kicked! Majorly! I guess that’s all for now, sorry I haven’t written in a while, been busy busy with what I don’t know, but it seems that way, anyway. Now I am at work, and might as well be working by myself, because we have a new part-timer here being trained on a whole bunch of nothing, considering she and the “trainer” are just exchanging life stories. Great, huh? It is really FRUSTRATING!!!!! I surely am soooooooooo happy that today is my Friday!!! Yay!!! I guess that’s all for now, I am going to see what I have here to make for dinner, even though I can’t eat until after my partner does, because otherwise, I end up not eating it, or wanting to throw up, because of what I wrote in my first sentence! GROSS!!!!!
